Do Phoenix Gravity Cartridges effectively eliminate estrogen?

While we have not specifically tested for the removal of estrogen, our Phoenix carbon filters are made with Activated Carbon, which is known to adsorb estrogen from water. The first 40-50 liters of filtered water may appear cloudy. To avoid this, it is recommended to prime the filter for a minimum of 3 minutes before reassembling it in the tank. The initial filtered water should be discarded, and the subsequent water will be clear. If the issue persists despite priming, provide us with images of the cloudy water.

Our airlock clip, which you receive along with our water filter system is provided to use in case the bottom chamber gets airlocked – which will cause a reduced filtration rate and reduced flow of water from the tap. The airlock may occur in less than 1% of cases where there may be a closer fitment between the top and bottom chambers, or when a vapor film is created between the two chambers, blocking the flow of air.
